As part of the National Evaluation System, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) together with the Regions, evaluators and the Partnership contributed to the development of data, indicators, analytical tools and models for measuring the contribution of the Cohesion Policy to the achievement of the National Strategy Goals for Sustainable Development in the 2021-2027 strategic reference framework.

In particular, the Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development (ASD) Research Program in consultation with the Region of Sardinia has developed a methodology to assess the impact of the Regional Program on Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals. The model can be applied to other regional contexts and for ex-ante and ongoing evaluation of 2021-2027 programs.

In this context, FEEM’s scientific collaboration has been extended to the Department for Cohesion Policies-NUVAP of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers to provide the Regions with an analytical toolkit to be used in the Plans for Assessments of potential effects of the Programs on the achievement of certain sustainability targets and for monitoring and verifying the coherence of actions and investments implemented at the regional level.
