Profile

Romolo Consigna graduated at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he earned a Master of Science degree in Economics with distinction. His academic journey has been underscored by a profound interest in applied economics, particularly within the fields of labor markets and social impact of immigration, as evidenced by his thesis entitled “Immigrant Workers and Wages in the Italian Agricultural Sector: A Preliminary Analysis”.

Prior to his master’s studies, he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance at the University of Rome La Sapienza, complemented by an enriching experience through the Erasmus+ program at Technische Hochschule Rosenheim in Germany. During his undergraduate studies, He actively participated in the “Sapienza Fast Charge” Formula Student team, which provided him with invaluable insights into the competitive and sustainable aspects of mobility.

He worked in a prominent think tank, where his research focuses on energy economics and regulatory affairs, shaping reports for a diverse array of public and private stakeholders. His professional journey has sharpened his proficiency in policy impact assessment and the utilization of statistical software such as Rstudio, Python, Stata, SQL, and Matlab. He is deeply passionate about programming and data analytics, which he consistently applies to enhance the rigor of my research.

Fluent in Italian and English (C1 level) and possessing a foundational understanding of German (A2 level), his research interests span the domains of energy transition, applied economics, network economics, and microeconometrics. Beyond academia, he is an avid runner who thrives in collaborative environments and nurtures interests in music, politics, art, and culture.

Driven by his interdisciplinary background, analytical expertise, and commitment to effecting meaningful policy change, he is eager to contribute substantially to research in sustainable mobility.

Currently, he serves as a Junior Research at the Sustainable Mobility Department (SUMO) of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei. In this capacity, he engages in advanced data analysis, formulate optimal research methodologies, and contribute to scientific publications.
